Environmental Policy

The ways we are trying to limit our impact on the climate to become, not only climate positive, but also socially responsible when it comes to all things relating to the enviroment and our impact on the planet

Our environmental policy in action

What we doing and what do we plan to do in the future

Reducing Printed Event Flyers

Where possible we try and limit our printing of single use flyers for events. When working with businesses, we try and place details of our events, within their existing brochure print runs and encourage them to be as environmentally friendly with those print runs as possible. In the cases where we do require flyers to be printed at our end, we always have them printed on recyclable and recycled paper.

Re-usable Anagram Trail Cards

A popular feature at many of our events are our anagram trails. These consist of various smaller Lego models placed around the event and where we give A5 sheets of paper to those that are participating. We have now changed these anagram trail sheets to be:

1. Printed using recycled paper where possible

2. Printed on recyclable paper where possible

FUTURE: Making our events featuring LEGO BRICKS carbon POSITIVE

Our aim for the future is to organise and run carbon positive BRICK events. This essentially means that we aim to be taking out more carbon from the atmosphere than the event, and as much a possible connected with it, puts in. This includes, but is not limited to, powering them with renewable energy, providing better public transport options for attendees and providing a way for attendies to offset their carbon impact when attending the event at point of sale.

The BRICK People's "Broken Bricks Program"

The "Broken Bricks Program" is an initiative where we seek old LEGO in any shape or form. We sort, clean and then re-distribute it for free to local schools or charities and sometimes find a great use of it at our various BRICK events located in the South of the UK.

NOW: We accept all types of genuine LEGO elements, be it dirty, sun-faded or even completely broken! If you have anything you wish to donate, please contact us and we will find a great home for them that is out of the ocean and out of landfill.

FUTURE: In the future we plan to do door to door pickups of old disguarded LEGO sets and elements, much like you currently see with bags for clothes or generic childrens toys. Our program with specifically be looking to source LEGO sets and parts of any shape and size, right from the convenience of your front door.
